A string trimmer motor doesn't have the power to push a boat. yes, you can put the prop into a lathe and whittle it down until it's tiny enough so the motor doesn't die, but then you have a little toy that won't push squat..
Hello rc friends! that's my first post here and hope i choose right thread to post a building blog. past year i've build gas engine powered boat from plywood, using my own plans.. Weed whacker conversion while this was actually written 12-15 years ago for the old 80's and 90's homelite weed whackers, the technique could be applied to other brands or even chain saws.. Most larger rc motors are about the same size, so adapting a weed eater motor may be a relatively simple process. adapting a weed eater to a mini-bike frame would also be possible. a drive train would need to be engineered to power the rear wheel, but a high-revving 2-cycle weed eater engine can make any mini-bike a lot of fun to ride..
